Lois M. Brown, 87, of 14448 Martinsville Highway, Cascade, died Tuesday, May 8, 2001, at the Blue Ridge Rehab Center in Martinsville.
She was born on June 29, 1913, daughter of the late Ethel Powell Moxley and James Samuel Moxley. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Roy E. Brown; a son, Wayne Brown; a daughter, Sherry Anderson; two grandchildren; two brothers, James and Marvin Moxley; and two sisters, Sadie Hurd and Iris Hairfield.
She retired from the former Sale Knitting Co., and she was a member of Mount Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are one son, Roy Brown of Martinsville; two daughters, Ethel Keatts of Cascade and Ada Wilson of Axton; one brother, Douglas Moxley of Axton; two sisters, Ruth Wilson and Jean brown, both of Axton; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at Mount Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church. Other times, friends will be received at the home,14448 Martinsville Highway, Cascade.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mount Calvary Church with burial to follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
