Rosetta Hedvig Blecha, 90, of Sheridan died Wednesday, June 14, 2006, in Tobacco Root Mountain Care Center in Sheridan.

She was born in Sumner, Neb., to Thomas and Helen Muirhead on Sept. 2, 1915. At the age of 14 she moved to Steamboat Springs, Colo., with her parents; sister, Violet; and brothers, Allen, Virgil and Dale.

In 1935, on New Year's Eve, she married Richard Henry Blecha. They became parents of a daughter, LaRae, and son, Lee.

When her husband became disabled from arthritis, they moved to Grand Junction, Colo., to get out of the snow. Four years later, they moved to Aurora, Colo. In 1989, they moved to Sheridan.

Rosetta was preceded in death by her husband; sister, Violet; and brothers, Allen, Virgil, and Dale.

Survivors include her children, LaRae and William Stender of Sheridan, Lee and Donna Blecha of Aurora; grandchildren, Steven and Kali Stender, Michael and Linda Stender, Brenda Blecha, and Tony and Jenny Blecha; great-grandchildren, William and Christine Stender, Russell and Charlotte Stender, Ty Stender, Shane Stender, Tymbre Stender, Josh Blecha, and Lexi Blecha; great-great-grandson, Wyatt Stender.

Memorials are preferred to Ruby Valley Hospital or Tobacco Root Mountain Care Center, both of Sheridan.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 24, in the Sheridan Cemetery with the Rev. Mary Alice McKinney officiating.
