Mrs Elizabeth J, widow of the late Lindley Bailey, died at the home of her brother J Watson Mundell, in Cumberland Township, August 4th, 1898, after a long illness. Mrs. Bailey was born May 22, 18__ and early in life became a member of the Baptist church at Greensboro. She was first married to Mr. John Ramer and four children of that union survive her. Mrs William Bailey and Mrs Olfred Minor of this county, Mrs. Hannah Chalfant, of Uniontown, and Miss Jessie Reamer of Washington. She was a kind and sympathetic friend, a devoted mother and an earnest christian. The funeral services were held in the Cumberland Presbyterian church of Carmichaels by the Rev Wm Hudson, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Carmichaels cemetery.
