PEARL MCDONALD DIES, RITES SUNDAY
Pearl McDonald, 80, 258 W. Wabash Street, Died Thursday at 6:20 p.m. at the Clinton County Hospital. She had been ill for the past three weeks.
Born in Clinton County, Indiana, February 13, 1876, she was the daughter of George and Mary Ann Hodge Mundell. On August 28, 1895, she was married to Harland G. McDonald, who died October 15, 1916.
Mrs. McDonald was from a pioneer family, her father George Mundell being one of the early settlers of the Antioch community. The original deed for the Mundell land came from the Northwest territory.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Lois Circle of that church. Prior to moving her membership here, she was a member of the Antioch Church for many years. Her interest had been in her family and church.
Surviving are a son Harold of Muncie, a grandson, Jeffrey, also of Muncie, a sister, Mrs. Lilas Price, Snohomish, Washington, a brother Ray Mundell, Forest and several nieces and nephews. Paul Bolander, Indianapolis, was reared in the McDonald home from the age of 12.
Two children died in infancy and five brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Mrs. Price has been here the past two weeks with her sister.
Services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. from the Goodwin funeral home with the Rev. James Y. Brown officiating. Interment will be in Buntin Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m.
