On October 23, 1933, she married James Leonard Armstrong in Crown Point, IN, and was a home maker all of her life. Her husband died on February 13, 1999.
Survivors include her children, C. Jack Armstrong of Lake Villa, Joel Dennis (Kathy) Armstrong of Greenville, S.C., and Philip Dale (Leila) Armstrong of Minot, N. D.; her sister, Ellen Petersen of Lake Villa, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two sons, Baby Boy James Armstrong and Darrell Wayne Armstrong; grand-daughter, Tammy Armstrong; three brothers Joe, Roy and Carl; and a sister,Pauline Schneider
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday May 18, 2008, at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte 83) with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. Private interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory, to the Lake Villa Fire Department or Rescue Squad or Victory Lakes Continuing Care Center of Lindenhurst.
