Bertha was the wife of Henry Nader, also a German emigrant. They made their home at Ewings Station near Sheridan. The family ran a grocery business and later farmed until Henry's death in the early 1900s. Bertha and Henry were parents of 12 children: Clara, William, Edith, Fannie, Bertha, Nettie, Louisa, Edna, Oscar, Hulda, Carl, and Henry. Bertha died at age 69.
