TISHOMINGO -- Services for Gene Needham, 74, Milburn, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006, at Tishomingo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony Folger officiating. Interment will be at Condon Grove Cemetery, Milburn.
Born on March 1, 1932, in Kenefic, Okla., to Harry and Sarah Jewell Carroll Needham, he died on Oct. 16, 2006, in Denison, Texas. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Buddy and Howard Needham; and three sisters, Lenore Densmore, Fern Rowland and Mary Maddox.
A longtime resident of this area, he was a member of First Baptist Church and owned and operated a dairy for many years before he retired. He and Mary "Tooter" Ballard were married on May 15, 1953, in Durant. She preceded him in death on Aug. 28, 2004.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Alandra Needham, Corsicana, Texas; his daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Eddie Blount, Tishomingo; four grandchildren, Dee Dee Needham, Milburn, Erica Needham and Ashley Nelms, both of Moore, and Tim Blount, Wapanucka; a sister, Lucille Tisdell, Dallas; and numerous other relatives.
Bearers will be Tom Winkler, Ronald Needham, James Rowland, Mike Hamilton, Terry Ballard and Johnny Nelms.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 this evening at Clark Funeral Home.
