Blanche passed away December 19th, 2012. She was born April 3, 1918 in Lamont, Idaho to Peter E. and Elise Lamont Neeley. She graduated from Camas County High School in Fairfield, Idaho and attended Idaho State University as well as Utah State University. Blanche married Albert M. Auernig on October 5, 1940 and were sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on March 4, 1955. Albert passed away in 1994. Blanche was an active member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers for 40 years. Retired from Bountiful City as Head of Payroll Department. Blanche was a talented seamstress and quilter. She loved her children and grandchildren and they will all remember her good example, her love and her trademark red hair.
Blanche is survived by her children: Sherri (Tom) Secrist, Kurt (Carlyn), Kevin (Rachel); 10 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; sister, Peg Sullivan; sister-in-law Euleda Auernig, Bill (Carolyn) Reese.
The family would like to express special thanks to staff and residents of Avalon Care Center, Inspiration Hospice and Park Lane Branch for the wonderful care of our mother.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Bountiful 31st Ward, 585 East Center Street, where a viewing will be held 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment-Lakeview Cemetery. Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com.
