ECSO IDs man killed by falling tree
The Escambia County Sheriff's Office identified a man who was killed by a falling tree Saturday as Boris Nekzasov.
The 73-year-old man was killed in the 3800 block of Ward Avenue when a tree fell on a shed he was reportedly sleeping in, Sheriff's Office Sgt. Andrew Hobbs said.
"Fire and EMS (emergency medical services) responded and cut the tree away from the shed. They located the victim on what appeared to be a mattress," Hobbs said.
Hobbs said a storm caused the tree to fall, and firefighters notified deputies that they discovered Nekzasov's body at about 8 a.m. Saturday.
.Boris was a talented carpenter. His parents, Illarion Nekrasov and Polina Sadovnichaia predecesed him. He had one daughter, Olga Borisovna Nekrasov Paar, who currently resides in Wellesley, MA with her husband, Peter. Boris moved to the U.S. in 2005, living in Massachusetts orginally, then retiring to Pensacola in 2007.
