Mildred Edna Nelson, went to be with her Lord on Monday May 14, 2001 at age 93. Born on November 1, 1907 in Wing River Township, Wadena County. She is preceded in death by husband, Anton Elmer; sisters, Zelda Lovejoy, Minnie Klappenbach, Pearl Nelson, Gladys Williams, Blanche Nelson, and Myrtle Maurstad; brothers, Warren, Edward and Roy Nelson. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by daughter, Delores E. "Laurie" Newell of St. Paul; grandson, Richard U. (Julie) Newell of Maplewood; granddaughter, Karen E. (Dan) MacEwan of Mpls; great-grandsons, Ryan Jonathan Newell and Nathan Daniel MacEwan; great-granddaughter, Sara Anne Newell; sister-in-law, Christine Nelson of Mondovi, WI; many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service Wed. 12 PM at Wulff Family Services-Crestwood Park Mortuary, 1485 White Bear Ave. Visitation 1 hour prior to service at mortuary. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
