Comer, Joyce E. (Nelson) age 82, of Minnetonka, MN, passed away on September 8, 2010. Born on April 19, 1928 to John E. and Tovah Nelson. Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Ken. She is survived by her three sons: Joe (Mary), John (Julie) and Steve (Kathy) and six granddaughters: Megan (Tom) Hicks, Rachel, Julia, Maggie, Lauren and Stephanie. Joyce married her high school sweetheart, Ken Comer, in 1950. They lived in Deephaven for 53 years and were fiercely loyal fans of Minnetonka High School athletics. She enjoyed lunch with the "Cottagewood Ladies" and playing bridge with dear friends. Joyce was much loved and her feisty spirit will be missed by many. A Celebration of life will take place Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 1:00 PM, Huber Funeral Home Chapel, 16394 Glory Lane, Eden Prairie (1/2 mile S. of Hwy. 5 on Co. Rd. 4). Visitation will be one hour prior to service on Saturday. Private Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
