ST. PETERSBURG, FL Marilyn Jean (Gilbert) Massimore, loving wife of Roger E Massimore, Jr., passed away in her sleep on Friday, February 28, 2014, at her home in Causeway Isles, St. Petersburg. She was born in York, on November 15, 1947, and was the daughter of the late Richard and Clara (Ness) Gilbert. In addition to her husband, she is survived by brothers, Darryl and Donald Gillbert; stepsons, James and Robert Massimore; and several nieces and nephews. Roger and Marilyn were former residents of York, where Marilyn was a graduate of William Penn Sr.High School. She was a former hairdresser and motel owner, and had run her own craft business for a number of years in the St. Petersburg area. In her later years she was a real estate agent for Century 21. She was an avid volunteer and advocate for All Childrens Hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 8, in the Goodwin Chapel at Pasadena Community Church, 227 70th St. South, St Petersburg. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested in Marilyn's memory to the All Childrens Hospital Guild, Beach Branch, attn: Joan Temerson, treasurer, 1 Key Capri #205W Treasure Island, FL 33706.
