Norma Joyce Mitny, 82, Plainfield, passed away February 28, 2012. Born on May 14, 1929 in Tipton, she was the daughter of Basil and Lola Lawson Newhouse.
She married Nelson Franklin Mitny on April 22, 1949 and he preceded her in death.
Ms. Mitny was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Plainfield and a former 40 year member of Prince of Peace.
Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca (Michael) McFarling; son, Jeffery (Linda) Mitny; grandchildren, Stacy (Pat) McCune, Christopher A. (Sue Ellen) McFarling; great-grandchildren, Carson Elizabeth, Logan and Holden Margaret McCune, Calli Nicole and Conner McFarling.
Her sisters: Carmine Weaver, Mary Rayl and Nancy Rogers, preceded her in death.
