Elaine S. (Newhouse) Ahern, age 93, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2015. Elaine was the devoted mother of Robert J. Ahern, Jr., the late Simone "Susie" Murray, Patricia Sliver, William Ahern and Robin Cote, loving "Nani" of 20 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren, cherished daughter of the late Marie and James A. Lafave and Percy Newhouse, dear sister of Pearl Borthwick and James Lafave. Elaine is also survived by close family friend, Donna Beaudoin and her son, Eddie.

Family and friends will gather for Visiting Hours at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Monday, September 21st from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Dorothy's Church, Main St., (Rte. 38), Wilmington at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
