Mrs. Samuel F. Bielby, 703 N. Madison street, died at the Rome Infirmary at 5:50 o'clock this morning. She had been in good health for a person of advanced age until Sunday
morning when she was stricken ill while on her way to attend services at the Baptist Church and was picked up in front of 411 N. Madison street and taken in the ambulance to the home of her son, Howard N. Bielby, Fort Stanwix Park North. Dr. George Reid attended her and later she was removed to the infirmary. It was found that she had suffered from cerebral hemorrhage and death was but a matter of a few hours following.

Mrs. Bielby's maiden name was Priscilla C. Newhouse, daughter of the late Benjamin and Rebecca Thompson Newhouse of Wright Settlement. She was born in Marcy September 6, 1848, coming to Rome when she was a small child. In this city on November 30, 1872, she married Mr. Bielby, who survives. She was deeply interested in everything pertaining to the welfare of the Baptist Church of which she had long been a member.

Surviving are the husband, one son, Howard N. Bielby of Rome, and these three daughters, Mrs. Edward R. Davis, to whose home the remains have been taken, Mrs. Wadsor Scoville of Oswego and Mrs. Arthur Robson, Westmoreland, also one sister, Mrs. Mary L. Bielby of Lynn Mass., and eight grandchildren.

The funeral will be held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edward R. Davis, 618 N. Jay St., on Thursday afternoon. Interment at Wright Settlement Cemetery.
