Billy A. Newhouse
5/10/1919 4/25/2002

Billy was born in Woodland, CA, but grew up in Corona, CA. A graduate of UC Berkeley, Billy received a degree in Entomology. For 44 years he resided in the San Joaquin Valley and he was Roberts Farms Entomologist for 19 years. Then for 12 years he was an independent consultant.

Bill served as a combat photographer in the U.S. Army, 166th Signal Photo Company, in the European Theater during World War II. Many of his photos have been published in books and magazines. Photography was his life long avocation. It was his pleasure to share his train photos with fellow railroad buffs. Photos from world travels with his wife of 31 years, Althea, leave many fond memories.

Billy A. Newhouse is survived by his wife, Althea Newhouse; step-daughters, Jacqueline M. Bolen of Santa Clara, CA and Diane R. Bolen of Dublin, CA; brother, Phillip W. Newhouse of Corona, CA; sister, Mary Patricia Wells of La Porte, TX; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

At his request no visitation or service is scheduled. Billy succumbed to cancer and will be buried in the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine, CA. Memorial donations may be made to the Hoffmann Hospice (661) 833-3900 that provided so much comfort to us in our time of need.
