"Margaret Irene (Niemeyer) Avery, 51, a five-year resident of resident of Matlock, died of cancer Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, at Capital Medical Center, Olympia.

She was born Nov. 5, 1949, to Clarence and Marjorie (Henson) Niemeyer in Paola, Kan. She married Terry Avery on Aug. 7, 1965. Mrs. Avery was a homemaker. She enjoyed collecting dolls, stamps and other things, crocheting, crafting, hunting with her daughter-in-law, baking, traveling and visiting her friends.

Mrs. Avery is survived by her husband, Terry Avery of Matlock; two sons, Dale Avery of Shelton and John Avery of Matlock; a brother, Robert Niemeyer of Matlock; two sisters, Janice Swisher and Glenda Thale, both of Shelton; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8, at Shelton Memorial Park." The Olympian (Olympia, Washington), January 5, 2001
