MRS. LOUIS BEESE PASSES BEYOND THIS LIFE
Emma, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Niemeyer, was born August 8, 1881, in the family home near Arlington Heights. She was confirmed into membership of St. Peter's Lutheran church by the Rev. Roeder. March 12, 1911 she was married to Louis Beese. To them were born four children, the youngest preceding the mother in death. Mrs. Beese had always been of delicate physique and the duties of life bore heavily as she grew more frail. She was a victim of the prevailing flu, which developed into pneumonia, from which it was impossible in her feeble strength, to rally. She died in the Beese family home, April 23, 1920, aged 38 years 9 months and 3 days. The funeral was held from the home to St. Peter's church, April 27; burial in St. Peter's cemetery. The Rev. Noack spoke most appropriate and comforting words in his address, assuring the sorrowing friends that for her they should rejoice since she was now beyond the sufferings of earth, it was only for ourselves we sorrow, since we must miss the loved ones here.
Beside her husband and three children, Mrs. Beese leaves her parents, three sisters, Mrs. Gustave Behrens, Mrs. Henry Wilke and Mrs. Schoenbeck; two brothers, George and Wm. Niemeyer and many friends. The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful.
Among those who attended the funeral from the out-of-town relatives were: Mrs. G. Reupke, Misses Kuhn, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Volz, Mrs. Sophia Martens, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Niemeyer, Messrs Henry and Wm. Beese, from Chicago and Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Behrens, from Wisconsin.
It is but a short time since the death of Louis Niemeyer, the eldest son of the family. In their double sorrow Mr. Niemeyer's and Mrs. Beese's families have the sympathy of many friends.
