She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and friend. Zambia was the educational director of River City Drum Corps for more than 15 years. She taught for Jefferson County Public Schools for 27 years. Zambia was an advocate in the community for the arts and cultural activities for all kids. She was a true storyteller and avid friend to many!
Zambia is survived by her husband, mother, a daughter, a son, two brothers, six grandchildren, and sixteen godchildren.
Wednesday June 16, 2010 Prayer/Wake at A.D. Porter & Sons, 4501 Bardstown Road from 6-9 p.m. Thursday June 17, 2010 Celebration of Life Service, St. Stephen Church 1008 S. 15th St. beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday June 18, 2010 Homecoming Services at St. Stephen Church at 11am. Burial at Cave Hill Cemetery immediately following.
Zambia requested donations be made to the River City Drum Corp in lieu of flowers and white attire for all services.
