Emma, daughter of Col. and Mrs. B.F. Northcott, was born in Menard Co., Ill. and died at her home in Knox Co. Friday of last week. (The Browning Leader-Record, issue Feb. 8, 1917). Family came to Linn Co., MO. For many years lived on a farm near Enterprise. Married D.W. Barclay. Eight children, Edwin, Mrs. Phoeba Thorne, Edward, Benjamin Guy, William, Bert, Bessie Bennett and John. Was buried in Linneus. Leaves also sisters, Mrs. G.G. Alexander, of Browning; Mrs. B.O. Ormiston, Linneus; brothers C.W. Northcott, Sumner, MO. and Joe Northcott, Washington, D.C. (The Browning Leader-Record, issue 8 Feb, 1917.)
