Funeral services for Patricia Ann Anderson, 73, of Albert Lea will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church. The Rev. Bob Weniger and the Rev. Mark Miller will officiate. Interment will be at the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Patricia died Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at Good Samaritan Society.
Patricia Ann Anderson was born on June 17, 1937, to Kenneth and Irene (Damm) Nowell in Hampton, Iowa, she graduated from C.A.L. High School in Latimer, Iowa, in 1955. Patricia graduated from LaJames School of Cosmetology in Mason City, Iowa, in 1959. On April 15, 1961, she was united in marriage to Robert K. Anderson at the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Coulter, Iowa. The couple then moved to the Albert Lea area. Patricia was currently a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was on the social and flower committees for many years. She also taught Sunday school and worked for many years in AWANA. Patricia was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed collecting angels and arranging artificial flowers. Patricia will be deeply missed by her friends and family.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; daughters: Ginny (Charles) Tyler and Debbie Lenz; grandchildren: Joshua Tyler, Aleshia Tyler, Jacob Tyler, Steven Lenz and Chelsey Lenz; two great-grandchildren; sister, Karolyn Nowell; brother-in-law, Bernette (June) Anderson; sister-in-law, Marietta (David) Bangs; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Irene Nowell; son, Randy Anderson; mother and father-in-law, Kenneth W. and Pauline Anderson; great-nephew, Caleb Anderson; and a sister in infancy.
