Mrs. Margaret Brownell

Margaret Matilda Null, daughter of Wm. H. and Sarah Jane Null, was born in Upshur, Preble county, Ohio, and died at her home in Winterset, April 15, 1917. She came to New London, Henry county, Iowa, with her parents when an infant, removing to Winterset at the age of twelve years. She was converted and became a member of the Methodist church in girlhood and lived a consistent Christian life to the day of her death. She was married to Ronald Bain Jan. 30, 1878, in Winterset, Iowa. Three children were born to this union: Blance Elnore, Ronald and Lillie Lorraine, the later having passed away in infancy. The father died Oct. 30, 1898. Some years later she was married Ezra Brownell. Besides the son and daughter, she is survived by two little grand daughters, two brothers and one sister: Finley E. Null of this city, Harry O. Null and Mrs. Lillie Edwards of Chattanooga, Tenn. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Monday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by her pastor, Rev. M. M. Cable. Members of the Rebekah lodge and the W. R. C., of both of which the deceased was an honored member, attended in the body, the former performing their services at the church. The remains were laid to rest in the Winterset cemetery.
