Alice Ann Null Alvarez, a lifelong resident of Mesquite, Texas, passed away June 27, 2014 at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Luther and Syble Ponder Pope; and her father, William (Bill) Null. She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Alvarez, Jr.; son, Brandon Alvarez; daughter, Lindsay Perry; mother, Barbara Pope Riggs; uncle, Frank Pope; mother-in-law, Grace Alvarez; and special friends, Rachel Glover, Diane Cooley, Linda Gossett, Kathy Zamora, Paula Ortiz and Pat Hanley. There will be a celebration of her life at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to UT Southwest Medical Center, American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
