Anna Mae (Null) Eckert, 84, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at York Hospital. She was the wife of George W. Eckert Jr., who died on February 14, 1989.
Mrs. Eckert was born in York, on November 17, 1926, daughter of the late Clinton E. and Jennie G. (Groft) Null.
Anna Mae graduated in the Class of 1945 from William Penn High School. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, York and the White Rose Motorcycle Club.
Survivors include a son, David A. Eckert of York; two daughters, Anne M. Bosserman and her husband, William of Wrightsville and Ruth M. Hoover and her husband, Mark of York; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh). Officiating will be, the Rev. Brenda J. Ferree. Final resting place will be beside her husband in Prospect Hill Cemetery, York. There will be a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Camping Corp., P.O. Box 459, Arendtsville, PA 17303.
