GREEN COUNTY KENTUCKY OBITUARY – 1994
Mahauta Kathleen "Tat" Beard, 74, daughter of the late Willie Nunn & Julia Catherine Pullian Nunn, was born December 12, 1919 in Green County and died Friday, October 28 [1994] at Methodist Hospital in Louisville. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #124 for over 20 years and the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital. In 1990 she was selected to represent Kentucky at the national convention as Woman of the Year. Unit 124 made her an honorary life member this year. Beard is survived by 1 son and 2 daughters, Maurice Taylor Beard and Ginger Wilcoxson, both of Greensburg, and Cheryl Shive of Campbellsville; 1 sister, Ortella Reynolds of Louisville; 3 grandchildren, Scott Shive of Danville, and Cynthia Milby and Robby Beard, both of Greensburg; 1 great-grandchild Whitney Milby of Greensburg; 6 step-grandchildren and 8 step-great-grandchildren. Funeral was at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, Greensburg, at 1 p.m. Sunday, October 30 with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery. The Revs. Gary Ervin and Landon Hadley officiated. Active pallbearers were Brett Nunn, Bryan Nunn, Carl Murray, Shelby Patterson, Walker Paxton, Edward Judd, Volen McMahan and Jerry Powell. Honorary pallbearers were members of American Legion Unit Auxiliary #124.
