Mrs. Maude Nunn Davenport, 73, of College Heights, Hodgenville, died Friday night at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown. She was the wife of the late Ivy Davenport, who died in 1965.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Mary Edith Peace, Magnolia; Mrs. Edna Brown, Rt 4, Hodgenville; Mrs. Virginia Benningfield, Arlington, Texas; and Mrs. louise Herbert, Sidney, Ohio; Six sons, Donald Davenport, Hodgenville; Roy Davenport, Louisville, Carl Davenport, Greenville, Ky.; Leonard Davenport, Horse Cave, Ky.,; Marshall Davenport, Somerset; and Edward Davenport, Cleveland, Ohio; 30 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Devore, Louisville; Mrs. Beatrice McCubbin, Rt 4, Hodgenville; and Mrs. Stella Enlow, Hodgenville; and two brothers, Howard and Curtis Nunn, both of Rt 4, Hodgenville.
The body was at the bennett-Bertram Funeral Home, in Hodgenville, until the funeral Monday at the Hodgenville United Methodist Church, with Rev. Harry Spurrier and Rev. Dudley Fish officiating. Interment was in Red Hill Cemetery.
