Son of Robert J. O'Mara Sr and Margaret Mitcheel O'Mara. Residence 511 Union Ave Bridgeport. A foreman and silver finisher Whiting Manufacturing Company on Bishop Ave in Bridgeport. Mr O'Mara was a Soldier of the U.S. Army. 619th Aerial Squadron. Died during War at Base Hospital 1 Ft Sam Houston Texas. Acute Empyema (An empyema is a collection or gathering of pus within a naturally existing anatomical cavity), Left Plural Cavity, Pneumonia Lobular left lower. Attended by Dr Feb 1-March 5 and died 10:20. His body arrived at the family home on March 12 and His Funeral on March 13, was held with the Members of the Home Guards, Woodman of the World and Holy Name Society of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in attendance. At the grave 3 volleys were fired. Taps was also sounded. Age at Death 24.
