George & Margaret were married January 1, 1861 in Mason Co., IL. They were in Lynchburg Township, Mason Co., IL in the 1870 census with their two daughters, Lizzie (age 2) and Eleanor (age 1). Margaret's parents were born in NY. They were the couple in the household next to George & Margaret in the 1870 census (Martin (age 67) & Eliza M. (age 58) O'LEARY. Also in the O'LEARY household was Georgia HUTCHINSON (age 7, born in IL). Georgia/Georgiana was the daughter of Margaret's sister Elizabeth Sarah (wife of William Henry HUTCHINSON).

Martin O'LEARY's heirs (his children) Margaret and Elizabeth (of Jerseyville, Jersey Co., IL), sold their interest in the property of Martin's estate for $5,800 on 23 Nov 1882 (Mason Co., IL Deed Book 51:2-3). Sons George D. & John H. also sold their interest.

George & Margaret's daughter Eleanor M. "Nellie" FORD (born 24 Jan 1869) married Nathaniel STEWART. Both Nellie and Nathaniel had been previously married. (Nellie had previously married Addison C. THORP 23 May 1888 in Montgomery Co., IL. They had one known daughter, Edith THORP (age 8, born in June 1891) that was living with Nathaniel & Nellie in 1900). Others living with Nathaniel & Nellie on Main Street in Venice, Madison Co., IL in the 1900 census were Nathaniel's daughter Abbie from a previous marriage (age 16, born in Oct 1883), John GARLAND (age 34, born in Aug 1865, step-son), Glen GARLAND (age 7, born in Aug 1872, grand step-son), and two boarders. The GARLAND's must have been from the earlier marriage of Nathaniel). Nathaniel, Nellie and Nellie's father, George A. were living on Kerr Street in Venice in the 1910 census.

On George A. FORD's 01 Nov 1907 "Declaration For Pension," Nathaniel STEWART stated he had been acquainted with George for 15 years. Margaret probably died in Litchfield, IL.
