Ann Corcoran was born on July 5, 1927 in Kenmare, Co. Kerry, Ireland to Mary (Hegarty) O'Sullivan and Patrick O'Sullivan. She immigrated to the Bronx, NY as a young child where she attended and graduated from Visitation Parochial School, Cathedral High School, St. Vincent's School of Nursing in Staten Island as well as earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from Hunter College.
Ann married the love of her life Patrick J. Corcoran (predeceased) and enjoyed their marriage of over 60 years while residing in Stuyvesant Town in Manhattan, NY. Ann and Pat were true New Yorkers who treasured Broadway, fine restaurants, the NY Giants and their adventures throughout the United States. Ann worked for the NYC B.O.E. on Governor's Island where she retired from in 1991.
Ann is survived by four generations of loving nieces and nephews. She was an articulate woman who always remembered her roots and never forgot a face or name. Ann will forever be remembered for her love, dedication and connection to family, care and attention to friends and most of all her beautiful and bright welcoming smile.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9:30 AM Saturday at St. Margaret R. C. Church, Pearl River. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, NY. Visiting is Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.
