Josefa (Pita) Ontiveros Aldaz was 80 years old when the angels called her home on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. She was born on July 18, 1934, in Berino, NM. She was a life-long resident of Anthony, NM. She will be dearly missed and forever dearly loved. Left to cherish her memory are her six children, Martha Chavez; Raul Aldaz; Samuel Aldaz; Priscilla Gutierrez; Elizabeth "Betty" Mowles; and Terrie "Susie" Haisan. She is also survived by her sister, Hortencia Ontiveros and three brothers, Adolfo, Humberto, and Arturo Ontiveros. She will also be greatly missed by 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, November 3, 2014 at Getz Funeral Home, Las Cruces, NM with prayer vigil scheduled at 7:00 PM. A funeral liturgy is scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Berino, NM at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Berino Cemetery.
