Francis J. Pai, 80, of 700 Warren Road died Wednesday at Tompkins Community Hospital.
Mr. Pai was a native of Ithaca. He retired in 1975 after 35 years with Ithaca Gun Co. He was a graduate of Ithaca High School.
Mr. Pai was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Newman Golf Course. He formerly played basketball with the semi-professional team Atlas Smokeshop.
Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Brown; three sons, Gary and David, both of Groton, and Allan of Moravia; a daughter, Candace Sansone of Heidelberg, Germany; two sisters, Helen Mahoney of Batavia and Mary Clark of Dryden; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private. Spring burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Bangs Funeral Home. Elks services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday.
