Daughter of Antone Monteroenoka Pai and Helena Marian Sylvia, wife of Harold Aiona, mother of Helena Aiona Smith, Cheryl, Godfrey, Norma Aiona Goddard and Pono.
Kamakaponiponi means flirting eyes, appropriate for Helena when she danced. A couple that had eyes only for each other. When Mrs A left us, she left a honey do list for Mr A that, in 2011, is still not finished, to keep him busy without her.
I grew up with Mr and Mrs "A", she is missed beyond compare.
