Carol Ann Paradis, 65, of North Attleboro MA, died after her husband Arthur shot her in their mobile home. Born in Providence RI on April 14, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Reynold and Rose Marie (Casale) Demers. She was raised and educated in the Riverside section of East Providence RI and graduated from East Providence High School in 1955. She was the former wife of the late Norman Edward Boivin.

Mrs. Paradis worked in the insurance industry and the Attleboro School Department before working as a customer service representative for 25 years, retiring in 2000. Mrs. Paradis was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church in Norton, where she was a volunteer Sunday school teacher and served as the director of the church soup kitchen from 1991 to 1996. She also attended Bridges of Hope Church in Attleboro and many years ago was a communicant of Holy Ghost Church in Attleboro.

She is survived by her daughter Donna Marie Gaboury of Chicopee MA; son Michael Boivin of Watertown MA; and two granddaughters.

Carol Paradis was murdered in her home. In 2005, her husband was found not guilty by reason of insanity and was sent to Bridgewater State Hospital. Attorneys said he would probably spend the rest of his life there because of a long history of mental illness.
