Obituary of Dorothy Parker Goff

Dorothy Parker Goff, age 87, of Gulfport, died Monday, August 15, 2011 in Gulfport. She was born in Moselle, MS and had been a resident of Gulfport for about 60 years. She was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church and a member of the Day Lily Assn. She was associated with WT Grant in Gulfport when it first opened and then was associated with KMart until retiring in 1988.

She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She and Mr. Goff were members of Telephone Pioneers of America and involved with camping.

She was preceded in death by her parents, B.L. and Lillian Anderson Parker; five brothers, and one sister.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Robert W. Goff; two daughters, Barbara (Lonnie) Ribardi, and Carol Howe (Jimmy Richards); and son, Michael Goff all of Gulfport, and son Joe Goff of Turbotville, PA; three grandchildren, Lisa K. Osborn, Sammy (Amy) Goff, and Amy George; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

The family extends special thanks to Odyssey Hospice, Mrs. Goff's nurse, Michelle Cramer, and Dr. Richard Tilly.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2011 from 6 until 8:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport. The funeral service will be held Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
