Blare Niece "Bernice" Parker Jackson was born on July 1, 1942, to Archie Parker and Sadie Mae Altmon, in MS. She worked at the Beau Rivage in the slot department as administrative assistant until 2004.

She was preceded in death by her father, Archie Parker of Gulfport and her mother, Sadie Mae Parker of Jackson, MS.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Ras H. Jackson of Gulfport; one son, Bruce C. Jackson of Gulfport; three daughters, Karen M. Jackson, Lois (Archie) Watkins, and Clarissa D. Jackson, all of Gulfport; four brothers, Monroe (Galina) Parker, Milas Reece, Ray (Lisa) Parker, and Donald Parker: six sisters, Virgina (George) Moore, Evelyn Jones, Audrey J. Parker, Sallie M. Parker, Anita Parker, and Joan Parker; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be Noon Friday, October 6, 2006 at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, 2100 30TH Ave. in Gulfport where Rev. J. C. Wilks is pastor. Rev. Larry Otis, an associate minister and friend, will deliver the eulogy. Visitation will be at the church two hours prior to service time. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.

Care of my wife is entrusted only to the professionalism of MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME.
