Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at Ray Funeral Home. Burial will follow in New Cleveland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Parrott was born on May 14, 1931, in McGrath, Minn., to Orin Jonathan Parrott and Mary Wilmine Dinger Parrott. He graduated from high school in McGrath. He served his country in the United States Air Force for 14 years. He married Shirley Margaret Belk on October 25, 1954, in Cleveland. He owned an upholstery business from 1979 until his retirement.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Margaret Parrott; and his parents, Orin and Mary Parrott.
Survivors include a son, Roger M. Parrott of Batesville; two daughters, Debra P. Baker (David) of Cleveland and Donna P. Bishop (Danny) of New Orleans; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Danny Bishop, Jonathan Parrott, Jeffery Parrott, Tom Brown, Joseph Parrott and Daniel Baker.
Honorary pallbearer will be David Baker.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
