Mrs. Ardis was a bookkeeper for 25 years for the Farmers Co-op in McBain and retired in 1972. She was a member of the McBain Presbyterian Church and the Women's Association at the church. She worked as deputy register of deeds at the Lake City Court House and was county clerk for eight years. She also was a member of the McBain Women's Club. She enjoyed cooking and being at her cottage on Lake Missaukee.
