Mrs. Mary Samuel Pfister Ashburn, age 73, of Weems, died Saturday, March 7, 1981. She was owner and manager of the Tots, Teens & Mommies Store of Kilmarnock. She is survived by her husband, Hubbard B. Ashburn, one son, Charles S. Pfister of Weems; one daughter, Mrs. Anna A. Davis, White Stone; four grandchildren, Lt. Commander James C. Davis, III of Virginia Beach, Cpl. Hubbard A. Davis of Hampton, Mrs. Dianna George of White Stone, Brenda Pfister of Weems; four great grandchildren, James C. Davis, IV and Joshua Christian Davis, both of Virginia Beach, Habbard A. Davis, II of Hampton, Maria Lynn George of White Stone; two brothers, Sam Pfister of Weems and Henry Pfister of Colonial Beach; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Starkey of Fairfax. Remains rest at the Elmore & Haynie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock, until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. Then at the Claybrook Baptist Church, Weems, where services will be held at 2 p.m. with interment in the church cemetery.
