Bernadine M. Pfister, 94, died Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Meadowview Manor Nursing Home.
She was born March 19, 1916 in Sheboygan, the daughter of Kurt and Agnes (Scherer) Otto.
She graduated from local schools and was a life-long member of St Peter Claver Parish.
She was employed for 20 years as a certified nurses aide at Memorial Medical Center.
She enjoyed being a member of Christian Mother's Society, Catholic Women's Charity Club,Turner's Auxiliary and also volunteering her time at the St. Vincent de Paul Store for over 20 years. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, traveling and dancing, especially the "polka".
She will be remembered fondly and missed by her family and friends. Surviving Bernie are her son, Larry (Lois) Pfister, McFarland, WI and her daughter, Jane (Gene) Mathes of Sheboygan. Also surviving is her brother-in-law, Joe Filsinger. Bernie loved her seven grandchildren, Mike (Jane) Gordon, Rob (Michele) Gordon, Dr. Steven (Stephanie) Gordon, Mark (Kalen) Gordon, Lisa (Dave) Jiricka, Keith (Debra) Mathes and Sara (Rick) Herzog. She was also blessed with 13 great-grandchildren.
Bernie was preceded in death by her daughter, Judie Gordon, and sister Lorraine Filsinger.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1444 S. 11th St., Sheboygan, with Rev. Richard Cerpich, officiating and Deacon Michael Burch, Parish Director, assisting. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
