Vivian Ogren, age 79, of Hayward, WI passed away on February 11, 2010 at her home.

Vivian was born March 7, 1930 in Hayward to John and Junia Pfister. Vivian was a lifelong resident of Hayward. She worked as a waitress at Larson's Restaurant (Good Knights) where she met the love of her life Warren Ogren. She continued to waitress for many years, working at Telemark, the Cook Shanty and the Pancake House.

Vivian married Warren Ogren on February 3, 1948 and they raised four children: Linda, Gerald, Keith, and Valerie. She was a member of First Lutheran Church. She always supported her husband in his many business ventures, hobbies and inventions. She was instrumental in the development of their business Propolis USA , which is currently Beehive Botanicals and owned by their daughter Linda. Vivian was full of life and love and she had a sharp wit about her. She had a passion for her family; her children and grandchildren meant the world to her. She was an excellent cook and baker; she loved to garden, crotchet and read. Vivian and Warren traveled all over the United States with friends. They were very lucky to have traveled the world seeing Europe, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Africa, New Zealand and Australia.

Vivian is survived by her husband of 62 years; three children: Linda Graham of Hayward, Keith (Candace) Ogren of Seattle, WA, Valerie Toolsie of Bloomington, MN; three grandchildren: Michelle (Russel) Forrester of Hayward, Mathew (Madonna) Graham of San Francisco, Ca, and Christopher Toolsie of Bloomington, MN; three great grandchildren: Mackenzie and Parker Forrester and Warren Graham; one sister, Alma Wallace of Wyoming, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son Gerald, four sisters and two brothers.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15, 2010 at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Scott Ludford officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to either the First Lutheran Church or to Hayward Regional Hospice.
