Born in Burrillville, a son of the late Joseph and Rose-Delima (Benoit) Phaneuf, he lived in Woonsocket most of his life.
Mr. Phaneuf was previously a buyer for the former French Worsted Co. for several years. Earlier, he was a tallyman in the lumber section of the former Whitinsville Machine Shop, Whitinsville, Mass. He was a World War II Navy veteran.
Besides his wife he leaves a son, Richard Phaneuf of Uxbridge, and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Fournier and Fournier Funeral Home, 463 S. Main St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 0at Our Lady of Victories Church, Prospect Street. Burial will be in Precious Blood Cemetery.
