Willetta worked at the state hospital for 35 years as a P.A.II. She was a member of the Born Again Full Faith Tabernacle, St. Joseph.
Willetta married Wayne Krause Sr. on March 9, 1951, in Eureka Springs, Ark. He survives of the home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and stepmother, Agnes Pio. Additional survivors include two daughters, Pam Smith, and her husband, Joe, St. Joseph; and Jackie Russell, Elwood; two sons, Wayne Krause Jr., Elwood; and Melvin Krause, Osborn, Mo.; two brothers, Rex Pio, and wife, Sue, Edgerton, Kan.; and Steve Pio, and wife, Karen, Allen, Kan.; sister, Kelly Flemming, and husband, Tom, Edgerton, Kan.; 15 grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at Harman-Rohde Funeral Home, Wathena, Kan. Burial: Bellemont Cemetery, Wathena. Friends may call after noon Thursday, Jan. 29, at the funeral home, where visitation will be 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Memorials: Willetta Krause Memorial Fund.
