Arthur V. Plaxton, 9758 N. Blair Road, Breckenridge, died Tuesday in St. Johns. He was 68.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Whiting Funeral Chapel in Breckenridge. The Rey. Philip Brown will officiate and burial will be at Ridgelawn Cemetery.

Mr. Plaxton was born Dec. 23, 1911 in Millington, the son of William and Beulah (Wescote) Plaxton. He married Elsie Eastman on Sept. 21, 1935, was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired employee of Consumers Power Co.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie; three sons, Donald of Midland, Jerry of Lansing. and Jack of Breckenridge; four daughters, Standish, Peggy Wheelock of Carson City, Lois Myars of Shepherd, Sharon Dryden of and Sally Miller of DeWitt; three sisters, Myrtle Shepherd of Washington, Florence Richter of Detroit, and Betty Wichtman of Waterford; and 27 grandchildren.
