Stephen Joseph Podres, Jr. of Napa passed away Nov. 11, 2014. He was born in Witherbee, New York, to Stephen and Julia Podres. He retired from the U.S. Navy as a communication technician following 21 years of service. He later retired from the U.S. Post Office after 23 years.
A graveside farewell gathering will be held at Tulocay Cemetery on Monday, Dec. 22, at noon. Anyone interested in attending will be welcomed.
Nancy Imogene Podres, his wife for 40 years, predeceased him in 1997. He was also preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Vicky. Surviving him are family members from Napa: his stepdaughter, Nancy; his grandchildren, Keith, Candy, Cassie, Truman and Jeri; along with numerous other great-grandchildren, all from Napa.
