She attended a 3 room country school house in Ankenny. She loved music and played clarinet and piano in the high school orchestra and pursued sports through baskeball. After high school she enrolled in cosmetology school. She received the PTA Honorary Life Award and Honorary Life Continuation Award. She had 5 kids and enjoyed gardening, crocheting and cake decorating. Twyla was a full time elementary school volunteer for over 13 years. She volunteered with voter registration for many years also. Twyla is survived by her daughter, Lonna ; sons, Terry, Randall and Dane; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy. Twyla was preceded in death by her husband, Willis and her son, Gaylen. Graveside Service 05/06/09 at Roosevelt Memorial Park, Gardena, CA with Honorary Officiant, Jason, grandson.
