She is survived by her loving husband Harry Wilton (Andy) Anderson of 70 years. They were married in 1941, her senior year, and she finished high school before becoming a military bride, moving all over the world and making many friends along the way. Wherever she lived, she made it a point of learning the countries traditions and cultures, even taking classes to make beautiful Japanese dolls.
She was to become what we call America's Greatest Generation, providing love and support to her husband's Air Force career of 30 years and taking care of her family whom she loved so dearly.
She was the best mother in the world to her three daughters: Linda Anderson Lisciarelli (Gary), Kay Price (Scott) and Jill Douglas (Bill Lemieux). She was loved so much by all of her grandchildren: Lisa Costello (Jim), Randy Lisciarelli (Heather), Michelle Blair (Kenny), Erin Nowak (Josh) and Emily Price. Great-grandchildren: Skylar Fletcher, Joshua Lisciarelli, Matthew Lisciarelli, Jordan Blair, Amber Lisciarelli, Trey Costello, and Lilah Blair.
She loved to cook, read and write letters to keep in contact with the many friends they made in their military career moves. She was known for having homemade desserts always ready for anyone that came by. Everyone who knew and loved her will forever miss her.
The Memorial Service was at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel, 1701 Austin Highway. There will be a private burial at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society .
