She spent summers with her grandparents in Hopkinsville, KY and had a career as an OB/GYN nurse at Orlando Regional Medical Center for more than 20 years. Surviving are her husband, Alfred J LaPeter, II (married 5/26/1982); daughter, Renee Lenaeus; sister, Peggy Powers Rairden; brother Paul (Rosalie) Powers; grandchildren, Coral Lenaeus, Lauren LaPeter, Brandon and Ryan O'Neill; stepchildren, Brian LaPeter and Cherie Kennedy.
