KATHERINE M. EDELL, 91
WASHINGTON - Katherine M. (Power) Edell, 91, of 2800 Quebec St., N.W., and formerly of Worcester, Mass., died Monday in Georgetown Hospital.
Her husband, Harry Edell, died in 1969. She leaves a brother, William T. Power of Worcester; two sisters, Helen O'Leary of Worcester and Margaret Jennette of Buffalo, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews including a grandniece, Kelly Cole, with whom she lived. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Patrick J. and Catherine (Powers) Power, and lived in Washington since 1945.
Mrs. Edell worked for the American Telephone and Telegraph Co. for 32 years, retiring in 1965. She began her career with the New England Telephone division of AT&T and retired as a manager in its Bell Atlantic division. Among her duties, she organized voice training seminars for telephone company employees.
The funeral will be held tomorrow from Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Bernard's Church, 228 Lincoln St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are 9 to 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
