Mildred Power Cliborne, of Chesterfield, passed away on her 92nd birthday, April 25, 2006. Born April 25, 1914, the sixth of 11 children born to James L. and Jessie Carr Power, she was preceded in death by her husband, James J. "Red" Cliborne.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Cliborne Harper and her husband, Downing O. Harper, of Chesterfield; and her son, James J. Cliborne Jr. and his wife, Sandra Cliborne, of Truth or Consequences, N.M.; granddaughters, Andrea L. Stuart and Rebecca J. Stuart of Chesterfield, Molly K. Cliborne of Charlottesville, and Capt. Amy Cliborne Rota of San Antonio, Texas, and her husband, Capt. Njord A. Rota, currently serving our country in Afghanistan; two great-grandsons, Michael W. Belcher of Powhatan, and Evan J. Barr of Chesterfield; two sisters, Jane Power Snider and her husband, James A. Snider, of Waynesboro, and Katherine Power Jones and her husband, William P. Jones, of Burlington, N.C.; two sisters-in-law, Pauline B. Power of Chesterfield and Mary M. Power of Alta Vista; and many nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the Bliley Funeral Homes' Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Dale Memorial Park.
