Sarah Mable Bontempo, 99, of Bremerton died Friday.
She was born to Emmett and Lulu (Karns) Prall on Lopez Island. She worked and helped in the office of Arnold's Insurance and Real Estate office in the 1920s and '30s. She then became a homemaker. She married Arnold Wang in 1922, and later, F.A. (Tony) Bontempo.
Mrs. Bontempo was a life member and past president of the Ladies Elks, a life member of the Kitsap chapter of the Retired Officers Association, past president and life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Her husband; her brother, Walter; and sister, Leela preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, William Wang (Violet) of Bremerton.
